diary

In past few weeks I have gained a lot of experience about different types of format in camera, also matching camera formats, shutter speed, gain, white balance, picture profile, and output / input setting. Also I gained a lot about how to transfer footage from the cards to the Macs, I did not have knowledge about that at all.
Now I have learned that log and transfer is for footage that has been recorded to a card, I hope to learn more about this during my course to gain extra knowledge.
Log and capture is for transferring footage from the tape, I have used this previously.
Also I have learned that P2 camera is not same as V1 when we want to watch back the recorded clip.
For P2 there is a VCR button in the back of the camera that if I want to watch clips back I need just to click that button. Also if I want to copy all the clips, I have to hold the VCR button for about 5 second to switch into PC DUB mode so then I will see all footage I have on my card.
Before copying the footages from the card I have to make a new folder within the finder, then copy everything I have on the card to the new folder.
After copying everything to the new folder, I have to open the final cut pro and go to file, then go to log and transfer, then highlight all clips and drag it below the time line.
The picture below shows the step by step procedures of how to drag the footage into the final cut pro for editing.

Introduction to live multi-drama (creative composition photograph)

The reason I have chosen this photograph is because this photograph is symbol of Kurdish people for nearly 3 decades. This photograph has been taken in Sunday March 18, 1988 two days after the attack by chemical weapon,
However the picture has been taken after the chemical attack on the city of Halabja by the Saddam's regime that killed more than 5000 people and wounded 10000 more. On this picture we can see a man holding a newborn baby to protect him from the chemical weapons.
However here I would like to talk about the person inside the picture, as he is a symbol of Kurdish people in all around the world he is being knowing as Kurdistan hero and will never be forgotten. The real name of this person in the photo is called (Omar Hama Salih Ahmed) also known as (Omar Khawer) with his 1 years old son (Muhammad).
This photograph indicates that it is a very old and unique image as the photograph is black and white and has rusty texture. This photograph shows that they were running for shelter for survival.
I can see that the photographer had a keen interest of this shot that would be a memory of Kurdish history, this is why this picture is famous in Kurdistan and in all around the world. For instance the Missouri University in United Stated had written a book about this photo, also journalist students a studying about this photo.
Moreover this picture is viewed by millions of people due to the shot taken being historical.
The photograph man attention is the man and the baby along with brick wall at the back, this is because the photograph wants to bring attention to the man and baby being the highlight of the Halabja, in addition this photograph summarise of the whole attack.

The photographer who his took this shot is called (Ramazan Ozturk) a Kurdish from Turkey, who is a photographer and journalist who worked for (Sabah) Turkish newspaper at the time. See below the man him self who took the photograph with the camera, which the Halabja incident was taken, by this very camera and no other photos were taken after that by this camera.
The detail of the camera used for this photograph was a (Nikon FA with a Vivitar lens).

This picture was released in a Turkish newspaper (sabah) for the 1st time after one week of the taken. A week after of the release of the picture on a Turkish newspaper this picture is being shown in a photo Festival in Paris, one day after Festival the picture was released in Times newspaper. After this picture was released in Times newspaper it went globally and was released all around the world newspapers.
In the end of the year of 1988 the Times newspaper was awarded this picture as a best picture of the year, after this picture was awarded by Times newspaper, the American journalist union awarded this picture as a best photo of the year as well.
Also again this picture was awarded as a life award for 10 years, then again for the 2nd time from the Times newspaper this picture awarded again as a life award for 150 years.
Again this picture was awarded from Stein newspaper for 5 years, and then it was awarded by world place photo for one year then 10 years then 40 years in row.
